Dr. Helen Abdal’s path to optometry began during college when she discovered her passion while working in a private practice. After earning her B.S. in Psychology from Santa Clara University, she pursued her doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Dedicated to excellence in patient care, she completed an additional residency in Primary Care Optometry at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry.

A respected member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Palm Beach County Optometric Association, Dr. Abdal has established herself as one of the area’s most trusted eye care professionals. She has contributed to the field through lectures and published articles on various optometry topics.

Dr. Abdal has built her reputation on providing exceptional patient care and specialized expertise. She is particularly known for her work in dry eye treatments and complex contact lens fittings, including astigmatism correction, monovision, and progressive lenses. She also works closely with Wellington’s leading ophthalmologists, co-managing LASIK and cataract surgeries.

A proud Wellington resident since 2006, Dr. Abdal maintains strong ties to the community where she lives and has her practice, 20/Twenty Eyecare. When not caring for patients, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.
